LS Auto has launched the LEV X AWD electric SUV and updated LEV 01 electric crossover in Nepal, marking a significant expansion in the Nepalese electric vehicle market. The LEV 01 features a lithium iron phosphate battery with up to 400 km range and 212 mm ground clearance, available in SE and CE variants. The LEV X AWD electric SUV boasts a dual-motor setup with 198 kW output and 72 kWh battery, offering up to 550 km range. Both models include advanced safety features like 10 airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control, aligning with a 5-star Euro NCAP safety philosophy. Pricing starts at NPR 59,95,000 for the LEV 01 SE, NPR 64,95,000 for the LEV 01 CE, and NPR 84,95,000 for the LEV X, with an 8-year/150,000 km warranty and a new service center in Kathmandu.

BYD has updated prices for several electric vehicles in Nepal, affecting the Atto 1, Atto 2, Atto 3, and Sealion 7 due to foreign exchange fluctuations.. The BYD Atto 1, Nepal's most accessible EV, saw price increases of Rs. 80,000 for the Dynamic variant and Rs. 81,000 for the Premium variant.. The BYD Atto 3 Advanced variant experienced a significant price hike of Rs. 3,09,000, while the Superior variant remained unchanged at Rs. 67,80,000.. The BYD Sealion 7, a premium EV, now costs Rs. 79,85,000, an increase of Rs. 1,86,000, solidifying its position in the premium electric vehicle segment.

MG is expanding its electric vehicle lineup in Nepal with the introduction of the MGS6, a mid-size electric SUV, to compete against models like the BYD Sealion 7, Deepal S07, and Leapmotor C10. The MGS6 features a 77kWh battery pack with DC fast charging up to 144kW, offering two variants: a 244 hp RWD model with 529 km range and a 361 hp AWD model with 485 km range. Equipped with a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, 10.25-inch digital driver display, and a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, it provides 674–1,910 litres of cargo space.
